CHILDREN'S CHOIR OF CENTRAL VIRGINIA
THE TOURING CHOIR
Grades 3 – 8
The “touring choirs” are for choristers that are interested in deepening their knowledge and experience of singing through longer more enriching rehearsals and multiple performances both locally and abroad. There are usually at least 5 performances a semester. Members will sing a wide variety of music including, but not limited to popular music, Broadway, classical, folk and jazz. No prior music experience is necessary to join, just a good attitude and a willingness to improve. Choristers are asked to spend 10 minutes, three days a week, doing simple homework assignments. Members receive special pricing for private piano and voice lessons; see the next page for more information. Members of this choir will learn how to read sheet music.

1 year, from September – August (NOTE: We DO allow people to join anytime as long as new members can spend time to learn music out of rehearsal time, and if you do, your commitment is until August, like everyone else). The first month is a probation period to ensure a good fit for the child.
